OBAYASHI PRIVACY POLICY

The privacy of visitors to our websites is very important to Obayashi. This privacy policy outlines the types of personal information received, collected, and used by Obayashi through its websites and online service partners (hereinafter referred to as Obayashi sites and services).  Obayashi’s California Privacy Notice For California Residents supplements this privacy policy and the information contained within for residents of California.

Information You Provide to Us

Obayashi collects information you provide when you visit Obayashi’s websites, apply for employment, submit questions or comments, or otherwise interact with Obayashi’s sites and services. None of this information, individually or grouped together—referred to in total as “aggregate data” is used to identify a specific individual.

Obayashi sites and services may place specialized coding on websites that allows a third party to insert a cookie into a visitor’s browser. These are used for the purposes of presenting a visitor with online information about Obayashi after leaving our site.

When you use Obayashi sites and services online, a third-party vendor may automatically receive your IP address. This aggregate information is used to deliver tailored content about Obayashi.

PRIVACY OF MINORS

Obayashi does not deliberately collect, or attempt to collect, personal information from minors known to be under the age of thirteen (13).  Obayashi cannot always determine, however, if a visitor is a minor. In general, the subject matter provided on Obayashi’s website is not directed toward minors under the age of thirteen (13).

This California Privacy Notice for California Residents supplements Obayashi’s Privacy Policy and the information contained within and applies solely to California Residents in order to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”) and other applicable California privacy laws and regulations.   

Information Obayashi Collects

Over the past twelve months, Obayashi has collected the following categories of personal information as defined by California Civil Code section 1798.140(o)(1):

(A) Identifiers such as a real name, alias, postal address, unique personal identifier, online identifier, internet protocol address, email address, account name, social security number, driver’s license number, passport number, or other similar identifiers.

(B) Any categories of personal information described in subdivision (e) of Section 1798.80.

(K) Inferences drawn from any of the information identified in this subdivision to create a profile about a consumer reflecting the consumer’s preferences, characteristics, psychological trends, predispositions, behavior, attitudes, intelligence, abilities, and aptitudes.

Obayashi obtains these categories of information from information that individuals submit to Obayashi directly, and from third parties, including other businesses, other websites, current and/or former employers, background check providers.  Obayashi also collects information when users interact with our website and/or use our services.
